Enough already! Hold him in contempt!

Trump and Jesse Watters, as well as conservative influencer media, just bullied a juror into leaving Trump’s Manhattan Criminal trial. I have read Democrats raging against the poor woman, calling her a coward, but really, can anyone blame her?

Juror number 2, an oncology nurse, said no one should be above the law. This was enough to put her in the crosshairs of MAGA, who often scream about patriotism but somehow think that means installing an Orange God King as president.

What’s the skinny

Trump basically muttered at a potential juror during voir dire, aka jury selection, drawing the ire of Judge Juan Merchan, who threatened him with contempt. Jesse Watters soon took to the airwaves of Fox News to intimidate a Juror of note by detailing enough identifiable information that people she knew began calling and asking if she was the one on the case.

As per Salon:

By the end of Tuesday, seven jurors had been selected to determine whether Donald Trump should be the first president ever convicted of a crime. By Thursday morning, when the Manhattan trial resumed, there were just six.

According to Judge Juan Merchan, the juror was excused after later expressing doubt that she could remain fair and impartial. In particular, she said that friends and family had already reached out to ask if she was serving on the jury.

Watters "managed to get a juror bumped out of the case by doing everything possible to expose her identity," argued attorney Bradley Moss.

Watters has alleged without evidence that "liberal activists" are lying to get on the jury, a claim that Trump himself has repeated on Truth Social, potentially violating a gag order.

I find it rich that they are worried about liberal activists when Clay Travis was all over the place telling MAGA types to get the Manhattan jury and hang it.

Makes me wonder what these miscreants are really up to.

Besides, What good is a gag order if no one ever enforces it? Trump does this shit, and so do his minions, because they all know Trump will get little more than a tongue-lashing.

Yeah, I get it—Judges are afraid to pull that lever because Trump is walking around with a MAGA-sized chip on his shoulder, daring Johnny Law to knock it off.

At a certain point, however, we can’t continue to allow ourselves to be held hostage by the terroristic MAGA force, otherwise, true justice will never be done.

Both Watters and Trump should be in major trouble for intimidating that juror. Both are likely smugly beating their chests over managing to make that individual, who was just doing her civic duty, flee. But yeah, we know nothing will be done.

Humph, and Johnny Law wonders why no one ever wants to stick their neck out for him.

We give you Exhibit A!

The justice system has to stop treating witnesses like cannon fodder and actually protect them if they want people to stick around. Michael Cohen said it best when he pointed out how Judges and attorneys were given security detail while folks like him and his family were left high and dry.

Again, there are people of privilege who benefit from the structure of law, so they do not see how those on the outside view it. Here’s a clue: folks on the ground don’t have a high opinion.

They can make speeches and finger wag about “duty” all they want, but we can't go by empty words and pretty promises—We, the People, go by what we see; what we are seeing right now ain’t hitting on nuthin’.
