"Win w/Black Men" and "Win w/Black Women" raise nearly 3 million for Harris in 3 hours
YAS! Hollah like you know you know me!
Black Men and Women have galvanized in our community and raised millions of dollars for Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential run. This news is so big that even WAPO couldn't sleep on it!
Black Women raise 1.5 Million in 3 hours
More than 44,000 people logged onto a Zoom call to support Harris and raised more than $1.5 million for her campaign in three hours, according to Win With Black Women founder Jotaka Eaddy.
“Anybody that does not think that Black and Brown women are the backbone of this party, they don’t know us,” Star Jones, the lawyer and former talk show host, told The Washington Post. “[Harris] has already been leading by example. We are going to support her, we’re going to raise money for her, and we’re going to get out the vote for her.” — Washington Post
Black Men Raise over a million in 3 hours
“Protection” became a key theme on a Monday night Zoom call organized by “Win With Black Men.” During the four-hour call, several Black men discussed the importance of protecting Kamala Harris as she seeks to make history by becoming the first woman to serve as President of the United States.
The call was hosted by Roland Martin and the Black Star Network and featured Khalil Thompson, executive director of ‘Win With Black Men”; Bakari Sellers, CNN commentator; Michael Blake, CEO of Kairos Democracy; and Quentin James, president collective pac.
“Let’s protect Kamala,” Sellers said during the call. “Let’s be with her like she was there for us. We are going to disagree a lot. But let’s put the petty bickering aside. Let’s stand up and be the Black men who change this country.” — New Pittsburg Courier
At last, the numbers are still rising, close to three million.
Interestingly, I found more articles on the “Win with Black Women” fundraising haul than on the “Win with Black Men” funding. SMDH.
Support the Black Caucus
After I heal up a bit more, I will get my Be Your Own Hero podcast up and running again. Hopefully, Nicole and I can contact minority communities for interviews to raise awareness and support for the Harris campaign.
Kamala Harris’s potential Presidential win is a victory for all but holds a special promise for disenfranchised communities. The positive impact will be profound, bringing hope and optimism to those who need it most.
Let’s get those voices out there!
MAGA freaking Dafuque out
Meanwhile, in MAGA land, they are threatening to sue and impeach; you read that right, impeach Kamala Harris because, of course, they are.
For what?
Your guess is as good as mine.
When you have no platform, no ideas, no campaign, and no clue, and spew hate to get the malcontent vote, all you can do is stomp your foot like a bratty child and throw shit around.
Madame President Kamala Harris 2024!
Kamala Harris gonna bring down the hell on that child rapist’s ass.
Send what you got. Do what you can. Say what you mean.
One thing leads to another, better thing.
I had despaired of trying to make progress towards King's dream as Magats were suddenly everywhere at once. I live in Troy which is Trump country despite the diversity of my neighborhood. Now, I have hope and will talk to my neighbors and put up a Harris sign on my front porch, buy and fly her flag if I can afford it.We can do this if white people of good heart like me get off our asses! As Joyce Vance says: We are in this fight together. To save this imperfect democracy, our country and our lives!
